Plowing of stubble and sod for
wheat is common in Huron
County.
Calhadian Canners, Exeter,
report that harvesting of peas
will likely be completed and
packing of sweet corn will be-
gin this week.
Agrologists have determined
the yellowing of white beans
to be the result of either root rot
or sun scald. Russeting of bean
leaves can be caused by either
conditions. Bacterial blight of
beans has not been observed in
many fields this year. Some early
varities of beans have started to
ripen.
