Weeds as often as necessary in each
season, to prevent their going to seed.

Erlde-Elect Honored
Miss Shirley Bolger, bride-
elect, was the honered meat at &
miscellaneous shower attended
by friends, relatives, and memb-
ers of the staff of the Canadian
Imperial Bank of Commerce, of
Brussels, where she has been
employed.
The shower was held in the
schoolroom of Mfrs United
Church, Walton.
A Short Program was present-
ed with Mrs. Kenneth McDonald
as master of ceremonies: reading,
reading by Mrs. Hank Haasnoot
of Brussels; piano solo, Karen.
McDonald. Miss Margaret Peters
and Mrs, Haasnott conducted a
contest with, Mrs. Cecil Parker
of Brussels and Mrs. Harvey
Craig -as the contestants,
The guest oftener, her mother,
Mrs. Harold Bolger, Mrs. Irvin
,Taillycrolo, Hamilton, mother of
the groom-elect were seated on
appropriately decorated chairs,
when an address extending the
good wishes of the gathering,
was read by Mrs. Haasnoot. The
shower of gifts was presented
and Shirley was assisted in open-
ing them by her sister Miss .tear,
Bolger, Mrs. Jack Lillycrop of
Hamilton, Miss Anne Blake,
Miss Peters and Mrs. Haasnoot,
Miss Bolger expressed her
thanks for the gifts, in a few well
chosen words.
The guest book was attended by
Miss Karen McDonald.
Refreshments were served by
