King Reeve Clerk Elliott Re-1..lnion The annual Elliott reunion was held in Bingeman's Park, Kitch- ener on July 10th. Around 150 sat down to a buf- fet dinner, served in the pa*: Hien at 1 lam. Annie 'Rae. 93, of Wr9x. titer, died in Huronview. Clinton. She was the Widow of Davi.d W. Rae. She 'was the former Annie McDonald, a daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. William, McDonald. She lived in Grey Township until, her marriage. when they moved to Wroxeter, She is survived by three sons. James and Russell of Brantford; William of Hanover; two broth- ers, Diincan of Walkerton, and William Of Brussels. The funeral service was held from the D, A. Rana funeral home ' in Brussels Thursday at 2 Thin. Rev. Allan Johnston of Brussels United Church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Wroxeter cemetery. Brussels, died last. Thursday in 1 Seaforth Hospital. He Was widely known through- out the entire area where he had Served the public as a veterinarian for 50 years and was a familiar figure, travelling day and night, fair weather and foul, to attend sick animals. He retired about five years ago. He graduated from the Ontar- io Veterinary College, then located in Toronto, now in 'Guelph, in 1907. He .practiced in Tavistock four years after Spending some time in Northern Ontario lumber camps. He c:Pent a Year in Scot- land before coming to Brussels where he resided for the rest of his lifetime. A keen sports fan, he was him- self a football player and in 1912 was 'manager of the Tavistock junior football team. that won a cham,'pionship. Ire enjoyed base- ball and horse racing. The ,son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Quentin Anderson, he was born on the third concession 'of Morris Township. He was a member of Melville Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth McNabb; a sister, Mrs. William (Mary Nebel) Ireland of Morris Town ship. The body rested 4t his late residence until Monday when the funeral service was held from the D.A. Rann funeral home at 2 p.ni. The Rev. it TI. MacLean. MoKlerator, Clinton. conducted the service. Pipe Bands To Play Here Friday, Jul)? 15th The Pipe Band will parade .on, the Main Street og Brassele on the evening of Friday, July •15th, between the hours of 8;00 p,m. and 10:00 p.m. The band will include bands- men of Brussels, Clinton, Exeter. Forest, Strathroy anu Goderich Legion. Pipe 13ands. This band was formed this year to fulfill an engagement in the U.S.A. at the end of July. At least a fifty Piece pipe band was requested, but as none, of our bands were large enough, the six bands have banded together to come up with a sixty piece band. Owing to the nature of their work, all of the Brussels band will not be able to participate in this engagement which 'will be held at Sherrill, New York, on the 29th, 30th and 31st of July. On the evening of July 30th. the band is also engaged to per- form at the Griffiss Air Force Base at Rome, approximately 15 miles north of Sherrill. Members of the •Brussels Leg- ion and businessmen will take up a silver collection on the 15th, to raise funds to help defray any out-of-the-pocket ex- Pefises incurred on the trip down and return. Mrs Alvin McDonald opened the meeting. by reading an article followed by the singing of hymn 669 "All people that'on earth do dwell", with Mrs. Wilbur Turnbull at the piano: Mrs. Bert ,Bachert led in prayer. The minutes of the last meeting were read by the sec- retary and the roll call "Men of the Bible" was answered by thirteen members. There was one guest present. The scripture taken from Math, 20, i, - 16 was read by Mrs. Bert .l3achert. The The topic "V;7'ork, and Wages In the Kiev: Conn of God" was taken by Mrs. Alvin McDonald.
