It is necessary to tell you that the price of milk is increased
by 2 cents a quart en most products, effective July 4th.
Please understand, that this dairy is announcing the increase
with reluctance; it results irom new anti higher prices that we must
pay to the dairy farmers wile are our suppliers and because of other
rising costs the milk distributors must meet in the economy. These
must be passed or you if we are to, stay in business to provide you
with what still remains the most economical, healthful food of all.
The decision to increase prices was not made by us alone, but
by the Ontario Milk Marketing Board, a government body which has
considered the rising costs of producing milk on the farm and whose
regulations we are required by law to obey.

The Centennial. Project for the
Moncrieff W.I. will be assisting
the Hall Board in renovating the
new hall and improving the sur-
rounding grounds. Two "Alney"
Trees have been planted.'
The W.I. will sponsor a booth
at the barn dance in the new
barn of Eric Ludington to be held
on Wednesday evening June 29.
They will also assist the Hall
Board at the "Park Night" which
is to be held on Aug. $.

CROP REPORT
Winter barley es beguiling to
ripen. Spring barley and some
oats are in head.
Corn has responded very wuil
to the welsh clays and nights.
Harvesting of the hay crop is
progressing very, well. Hot, dry
days and an absence of rain has
allowed for the storage of high
quality hay in Huron County.
Fastures are holding up well
and cattle continue to maintain
good production.
