PRESBYTERIAL MEETS
AT TEE$WATERi
May meeting of the \VMS
of Maitland Presbyterial of the
Presbyterian. Church in Canada
was held on Nay 26th, in Tees-
water Presbyterian Church with
good attendance. WS, George
Sutherland, Ripley., President,
presided at both the afternoon and
evening meetings. Mrs. T. E,
McKinney, Teeswater, was organ-
"lg. The theme of the meetings
was, Hear, and Proclaim.
The afternoon session followed
a :,thori, executive meeting, the
devotions were taken by Mrs.,
Ralph Dickson, Mrs. Harvey
Ballagh and Mrs. McPherson,
LelniOre.

gave a very cordial welqeme to all

Reports were given by Mrs. WM.
Ford, Winghain, recOrdnag sec-
retary; Mrs. Thomas Currie,
WW1, corresponding sec-

zie Mt 3, Luc:knew, treasurer,
it was encouraging 1.0 near our
givings were increased as com-
pared with last year at the same
time.
Mrs. Stanley Fischer, Crau-
hrook, presented a Honorary Lite
Membership Certificate to Mrs.
Roy Cunningham., of Ethel, com-
menting on her faithful work to
the Ethel. Church as. organist and
to the Missionary Society,
Mrs. John McKague' of Tees-
Water was soloist.
Rev. T. E. McKiney, Tees7
water, brought Feetinge from
Presbytery and spoke of the good:
work the WMS was doing with,
the girls and the C,C. groups
'which is a tremendous asset to
the church. He. spoke on. four pas-
sages of scripture dealing with
the theme of the meeting.
Mrs, Alvin Mandell, Beliiiore,
gave, a short report on some
of tne highlights or council meet-
ing explaining briefly about the
needs and expenditures of the
funds made available to WMS.
She also urged members to be
camp-minded inviting all Wha
could. go, or' help' someone else
to' go to attend some sessions of
camp at Kintail for fun, felloW-
ship and Bible-Study:
Mrs; T. E. 'McKinney, Tees-
water, paid a ipyluir tribute to our
departed members.
Mrs, B. Thomas, Blueyalo,
few well chosen words introduced
the speaker, Mrs. A. S. Curr, of
Tprouto. Mrs, Curr has been
President of .Council for the past
five years and is now peat Presi-
dent, she was priviledged to
attend the Centennial Celebrations
in Formosa in 19b5.
A.S. Curr in her quiet,
pleasing, and sincere manner left
much room. for thought.
The. president thanked the
speaker for her inspiring words.
The meeting closed with prayer
by Mrs, W. W. Smith of Brussels.
