The W.M.S. of Meivuie Church
met in the church parlour for the
Easter meeting, on Friday after-
noon, April lat.
Mrs. James Mair opened they
meeting with prayer. A hymn,
"Christ the Lord Is Risen To.
day' was sung and the Lord's
Prayer was repeated in unison.
Mrs. Matheson read a poem
"Because He Passed This Way".
Mrs. Thompson sang a solo "The
Love of Christ"

PERCY SELLERS
forty Sellers, 76, 'nee Fetie,
died Monday Morning enroute to
Fort Erie Hospital. He was born
on the third concession of Morris
Township, a son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Sellers, He work-
ed for the CNR and New York
Central Railway until he retired
about 16 years ago. Surviving,
are a brother, John, Moose Jaw,
Sask.; two sisters, Mrs. Mark
Garniss, Wingham; Mrs, George
Pone, Brussels. The funeral was
held from the D. A, Rann funeral
home, Brussels, on Wednesday
at 2 p.m., conducted by the itev.
Allan Johnston of Brussels 'Unit-
ed Church, Burial was in Brus-
sels cemetery.

still biting. Clara Leone was witty
Dick Stephenson. Dick is in the
poultry business, of course, out he
never saw as many goose eggs in
his life as were on his score card
that night. Clare has been. dealing
with the Amish and Mennunitee
so long he must think its wrong
to Lake a trick. Jack Clark has
been with mud turtles so long his
brain is now working at mud
turtle speed. lie played with
Carson Watson. Carson Must
have thought he was working foe
the county so he slept all nite.
Tom Ward hit the table so hard
he broke three knuckles. This
didn't matter so much but he
tracked two glasses. Never was
such a night. Jack Wilson' is the
only one With a likely story. His
wife is in California. Wilson is
doing the coOkiak for himself so
naturally was undernourished.
Teavey got kicked in the head
the afternoon of the garde, by a
tiebbit. Since then his rabbits call

acted like ourselves, real gentle-
men. We have had five wonderful
nights at the Legion. Everyone
in our club want to say thank
you. Thank you' personally. I
never heard of one single case
where hard feelings were made.
A great deal of good natured
banter and wise cracking and
plenty of fun. Don't forget the
.Aanateur Contest April 7. Them
cursed flying saucers made me
give a evrong date last week. Fire-
men's Ball Freday niece April 15.

Monday night -was play-off for
the Dart Club which has been
meeting every Monday night in
the Comunuy Centre. Ken Mac
Donald's team won consisting of
Harry Bolger, Pete van Veen, and
Garry Evans. Hilton Ward had
high score of 3 darts. Captains
for the success it season were
Frank Smith, Ken MacDonald.

Mrs. Paris of Mitchell has
been spending several days with
her daughter, Mrs. Alex Cameron.
Lyle Gordon, who spent the
winter months in Mexico, arrived
