The merchants give as their reason for Friday night opening, "to fall in line with other towns." Why do they not tell us the real reason? This is a farming community,, 1 believe Brussels, merchants are very dependent on their rural, customers. Therefore, I would say that we, as farmers, should have some say in the matter. Is it more irnporant to "fall in line with other towns" than it is to co-operate with the customers who provide a great Part of the merchants' income. This attitude on the part of the merchants will, I believe, have an extremely adverse effect on urban-rural relations in this area. A Farmer ENGAGEMENT . Mr. and. Mrs. Clifford' W.
