SAUCER Alvin H. Sauder, 64, died suddenly at his home, 21 St. David St. 11, Thor°id, Ontario, on Saturday, January, 29th, 1986. Born in Willoughby township he moved to Thorpid in 1947, coming from Ilumberstone. He was a carpenter with Provincial Paper Ltd, for 23 years. He was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters, and a member of Trinity -United Church, Thorold. He is survived by his wife, Mildred, three sous, Grant of Thorold, Ronald, of Clarkson and Oran of Detroit; four grand- children, Janice, Kevin, Brock and Laura of Clarskson; five brothers, Merritt, Austin, 'Ervin, of Port Colborne, Lloyd of Pres- cott, and Ralph of Buffalo; three sisters, Mrs. Wm. (Lilly) Huff- man, and Mrs. Albert (Stella), Bissell of Port 'Colborne, and Mrs, M. (Eolith) Homer of Elmira, N.Y. The funeral was held ou ireb- ruary 1st, 1966, from Noble S. Crowe funeral home, Thorold. Interment was in Overholt Cem- etery, near ,Port Colborne. Rev. K. E. Warren officiated. The Pall, bearers were neighbous and fellow workers, Messrs. MacIntyre, Sauve, Wallace, Rigby, Fraser and Thomas. Many beautiful floral tributes were received as well as several contributions to the Heart Fund. W ALr t ON Walton Women's Institute The Walton Women's insti- tute met in the Conununity Hall with i,he president, Mrs. Roy Wil- liamson in charge of the business Portion of the meeting, The newly-appointed members of the nominating committee are: Mrs. Donald l3uchanan, Mrs. Torrance Dundas, Mrs. James McDonald, Mrs. Jan van Vliet Jr. and Mrs. Nelson Reid. Turabull and Mrs. Ronald Bennett are the committee for the first euchre party. The second party will be in charge of Mrs. Ray Huether, Mrs. Stewart Humphries, Mrs. Edward Miller, Mrs. Alvin Mc- Donald and Mrs. George Pollard. Mrs. Jan -van Vliet Jr. and Mrs. Stewart Humphries an- nounced plans for this month's visit to Iitironview. There was a discussion of I plans for the fashion show being held the eta of this month: Mrs. NVtn. Huraphiles, who presided for the remainder of the meeting, led a sing-song with Mrs. H. Travis at the piano, Mrs. Stanley Bride of Fordikich, who was the guest Speaker, was introduced by Mrs. Frank Walt- ers. Mrs, Bride deScribed the wider Organization and. work of the Institute under the ACWW. The speaker was thanked by Mrs: Donald Buchanan who also spoke briefly about reatilutions.
