L, Rown- tree announced on behalf of Premier John Roberts, the appointment of berlee as Deputy Minister of Labour. M. Eberlee has Served as Deputy Minister Slime 1962. He will assume his new duties at the end of this year following the retire- ment of B. Metzler. Born in Toronto in 1930, Mr. leberlee was educated at Lindsay Collegate Institute and the Uni- versity of Toronto where he re ceied a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern History. He is Married with two children. Eberlee began his career as a Journalist specializing first in municipal affairs. He spent several years as a correspondent in the Parliatn,entary Press Gal- lery at Ottawa and at Queen's Pare. In 195,8 he joined the Ontario Department of Economics and Development as an Fixecutive Officer., The following year he was appointed Assistant Secre- tary of the Provincial Cabinet. During his years in the Prime liinister'a ()Mee, Mr. Eberlee acted as Secretary of Cabinet committees and as an assistant and labour advisor to the Prime Minister. He also served as secretary of a number of select committees of the Legislature including the Select Committees on Auto- mobile Insurance and. on Man- power Training. She viewed cir- cumstances which led Mr. Mc- Cree to write the poem, "In Flanders Fields." and also pre- sented the poem. Another read- ing "Remembrance" was in keep- ing with the Armistice Day Program. Mrs. Ronald McMichael was pianist for the hymns. Mrs. Bruce Chambers gave the secretary's and treasurer's reports, The collection was received and the roll call was a, gift for the cancer patients at the hos- pital. Mrs. Vern Hupfer aud Mrs. Cecil Yeoman offered to buy' for the unit the articles necessary to fill two Christmas Stockings for patients at the Ontario Hos- pital in. Goderich. Mrs. Vern Hupfer led a discus- sion on purchasing two pedestals to match the communion table in the church.
