her 75th year.
The former Chrlstena Snell, she
was the widow of the late Bert

bailie Tuesday, at 2, pm.

William Foster Smith of (41.6y
Township passed away Oct. 13th';
1965, at the Ontario Hospital,
Goderich,
illldest son of the late Mr. and,
Mrs. Edlward Smith, he was born.
in Elderslie Township, May 17th,
1888. When a young man he
moved he moved to Arran Town-
ship, coming to urey Township 26
years ago. In 1517 he married
Elizabeth „Annie .Horning of
Arran Township wno predeceased
him in 1956.
Surviving are two sons, Amos of
Belgrave and Ormal of Grey; three
daughters, Lyla, Toronto, Mrs.
Lavern (Greta) Hoegy, Dublin and,
Mrs. Lester (Lillian) Green of
Detroit, Mich.;also one brother,
.Tohn of Southampton and seven
, grand, children.
The funeral Service was held
Saturday at 2 p.m: from the D.
A, Rann funeral horde. Interment
was in Brussels centetery.

His Farewell Concert

Canada's, Singing Violinist, will
present hiS Farewell Concert
the Legion auditorium here this

It will be no surprise if the
hall is taxed to capacity to an-
comOdate the crowd of fans who
wilt come to once More, as they
have so many times in. the past,
enjoy the clean rustic humour of
heir favotfrite entertainer and
his group. 13y their attendance at
his farewell performance they
will express their thanks, and
pay tribute to the Man who has
given th.em so many hours of
pleasurable 'entertainment through,
the past years.
Not only has Mr. Thynne
lighted audiences himself, but he.
has given many others, parti-
cularly young people au oppor-
tunity to appear on stage and en-
couraged them to develop what-
ever talent they may have poses-
sed.
Following the concert there
will be a dance. The affair is
sponsored by the Brussels Branch
of the Royal Canadian Legion.
