Meetings of the league were
held on Monday, September 20th,
and Sunday, September, 20th, to
form teams and make plans for
the coming season
Officers are as follows:

This season there will be 36
players divided into six teams,
one team per ally. Play will com-
mence on Monday, October 4th,
missing Octber 11th, Thanks-
giving weekend. Cars are advised
to leave no later than 7:00 p.m.
as the alleys are available only
until 9:30 p.m.

The regular morning servic,:i
in Knox Church was iu charge of
Mr. Mervyn McKinney, Teeswater.
On Sunday next, October 3rd,
the service will • be held at one
o'clock, with the Rev. S. J.
Stewart of Molesworth, in the
pulpit. The Sunday School will
meet at twele o'clock.
Miss Kate McNabb, Temiska-
ming, spent the week-end at her
home here.
Mrs. Ross Speiran and daughter,
Mrs. Tom Thomson, and two
little sons, Saginaw, spent a week
with relatives and friends in the
district.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Giesler, Fraser,
Mich., spent the week-end in the
village.

were pleasantly surprised on Fri
day evening When meinbers of
their families gathered at the
home of their daughter, Mrs.
Ken Bray (Helen), to honour
them on their 40th wedding an-
niversary. Progressive euchre
was played during the evening.
The guests of honor were present-
ed with a pole lamp, a set of
tables and other gifts. A nicely
decorated anniversary cake centr-
ed the table for refreShments
served by their daughters, Helen
and Maxine. Guests were present
from. Saginaw, Kitchener, Sea-
forth, BruSsels and Cranbrook.

By the end of the meeting
there were 11. teams signed up.
This is one more team. than last
year, and the league are roping
that more will be interested.
Anyone wishing to enter a
team, can do so by contacting any
of the above officers or by being
present on the 5th of. October to
register. At least one more team
is needed to keep une schedule
even.
A warm. up night and get-to-
together will be held. on October
5th, at which time, anyone not
having a full compliment of play-
ers (0 to a team) can pick up
II that night.
IL is not necessary to be a Leg-
ion member to enter a team, so
come on men, sign up, volunteer.
now for a night, one a week, of
good fun and comradeship.
