Division of the East Huron
Agricultural Society will_ have a
booth at the Fair Grounds at the
Hell Lets Show on Sept. 1st
and , also a lunch counter in the
Crystal Palace at the dance which
follows the shy*. They are asking
for volunteer workers. They will

MRS. MARGARET CARDIFF
Mrs. Margaret Cardiff, 96, of
BtrusseIS died Wednesday in the
,Callander Nursing Home, Brus-
els,
The former Margaret " Lowe,
she was the widow of the late
Richard Cardiff.
She is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Berva)
Dennis and Mrs. Douglas
(Wilma )Hetningway, both of
Brussels.
The funeral service will be
held at the D. A. Rann funeral
home at 2 p.m. on. leriday.

The Brussels Ladies Soft-
ball team must win the game to
be played here this Friday night.
at 7:30, to win the four out of
seven series with Goderich. They

each.
The local girls won the game
here on Tuesday night but had
to forfeit the game to Goderich
because they were short two
players to start the game. Suf-
ficient players were on hand
later but the game had to be,
conceded.
In. Goderich on Wednesday
night, errors were costly and
Brussels lost by a score of 15-'7.
The girls need the support of all,
their fans to cheer them to vict-
ory this Friday. in Brussels at
7:30 p.m.

Willowdale, faces two charges
as a result of the two-car crash
Sunday, near Wingham, which
claimed five lives. Westlake was
the driver of one of the ears,

The annual Flower Show, and
the cold turkey, supper held in
conjunction with it, was a highly
successful event. It was herd on
Saturday, in St. john's Anglican
Church, sponsored by the Brussels
and District Horticultural Society.
The flower show attracted
about 160 entries in the 45 classes.
Top winners werei Rose Classes,
Miss jeesie Little; Arrangements,
Mrs. Jas, Armstrong; Over all win-
ner, Mrs. E, Cudmore,
Over 100 were in attendance to
enjoy the delicious supper.
