July 24th, 1965. at three o'clock, in the United Church, Pi:suss-els.. • l:/rust Forfeit Winn intl.; Game The Brussels Ladies Softball team scored a 15 - S victory over Coderieh in an unusual game, in Goderich oh Saturday night. Brussels had only six players in- stead of the required nine. The rest of the team. failed to show up in Goderich. Of the six playerS only three were veterans of the team., the others were playing' their first year and played sur- prisingly well. How does a coach win a game with six players? HIS thirol baSe,- Man had to double as short stops and the centre fielder covered the entire field., The batters drove the Goderich. pitcher snit Of the box and the second one was no more effective. It is most frustrating to a matt and the rest of the team not to have expected player show up and because they did net have r full foam Bilissels must forfeit the gaint 10 Gedericb, On Tuesday night in 'Brussels the home team walloped God. ,erich 2i to 10.
