Albert Clarice presided for the business. elinancial reports were given by Mrs. Clifford, Hoogy and Mrs. Harold Smalldon. The meeting closed with pray- er by Mrs. Cl-. Williamson. Refresments were served. 8th And 16th Unit Of Duff's UGIN, Walton The April meeting of the 8th and 16th Unit of Duff's UCW was held at the home of Mrs. Harold Bolger on Thursday evening, April IAA, The meeting opened with the singing of hymn 682 "I toyed When To The House of the God" Mrs James McDonald read the scripture from Mathew 38, 1 - 10 followed by 'prayer. The topic "The Dignity or. Toil" was read by Mrs. Jim Smith. Hymn 98 "Beneath the Cross or Jesus" -was sung and a poem "riinawaresr was read by AWL Jim Smith. A poem was also read by Mrs Jas. McDonald, after 'which hymn 112 "Rejoice the Lord Is King" was sung and the Lord's Prayer was repeated in unison. Mrs, Harold Bolger conducted the business, Minutes of the last meeting were read by the sec- retary. Roll call, an Easter hynn, was answered by 13 memb- ers and two pied*, Five crib quilts and one Quilt. top was sent to the Children's Aid at lloderich. It was moved by Sets. Wilbur 'Turnbull seconded by Mrs. Dot. Praser to send a quilt to the Salvation Army at. Winghain. Articles were brought for the layette. Lames on the tine who are not members are to be invited to the next meeting and eacu membei is to take something to sell. Grace was sung and lunch was served by Mrs. Don ii'raser, Mrs. 'George McCall and the lioStess.
