Her address Ives much enjoyed. Mrs. Lowe thanked'Mrs. Knight and presented her with a gift. The motto was given by Mrs. Harold Speir, Reports of Stand- ing committees followed. Mtg. C. Hemingway reported on the District Executive meeting. The District Annual will be in Molesworth Presbyterian Church on May 210th. The County Rally will be held in Walton on October 4th. The Area Convention, October 10th and 1,1th in Guelph. Mr. Bill Hutchinson of the New American Hotel, kindly provided a magnificant banquet with, plates heaped high with many delicacies. After this splen- did meal he presented "Most Valuable ,Player"' awards to Terry' Eutedge of the Bantams and Iiim litirnes of the Tee Wees, Reverand Allan Johnston then spoke on the importance of sport in creating an atmosphere of unity and good fellowship. Following short- speeches by coaches Don McLean and James Prior, the boys were treated with a film about the 1964 Grey Cup game and a humorous film entitled ''Hurry, Hurry''. A thanks of sincere apprec- iation is extended to Mr. Bill Hutchinson from the coaches, and players for the wonderfully en, joyable evening which he pro- v ided. A banquet was served in the Brussels Legion Hall by the 'ladies of the Legion Auxiliary, 'Each lady, on arrival, was hon- ored with the presentation of a corsage, Lion President Charles Thomas presided over the evening's ac_ tivities. Grace was said by Lion Roy Cousins. The toast to the ladies Was given by Lion Cecil McFadden, and responded to by Mrs. Gordon Stiles. The "Suit of the Month" draw, conducted by 'Lion Cecil Parker' was Made by Mrs. T. L. Mac- Donald, with Lion H, Thomas the winner. The roll, called by the secretary, Lion H. TenPas, was answered by each Lion introducing his wife and guests. A sing song was led by Lion. Tamer Cecil McFadden, with Mrs. Harold Thomas at the piano, Zone Chairman George Mc- Cutcheon informed the Lions of the 'Zone Rally to be held in Clinton. four delegates from the local club to attend.
