S Ear OUR DISPLAY AT The Brussels Past Brussels4Maitland Authority Sets Budget At S68,186 Conservation .Authority,, meeting in the Brussels Public Library on Friday afternoon, approved a 196.5 budget of $68',186, up about $20,000 over the 1964 draft. Socretary,t1 casarer Cyril Bam- ford, of Listowel, said the in- crease is attributed to capital development projects to cost $40,040, The levy to the 29 member muni- cipalities will be $25,21.8, an in- crease of only $2,073. Provincial government grants will cover the remainig costs. The authority announced plans to spend $7,000 for reforestation and land acquisition; $10,000 for an adminstration building (site to be determined); $9,000 for development work uu the Falls Reserve Conservation Area; -11,000 for work on the Gorrie Dam; and 2,040 for other author- ity projects. Reforestation, land acquisition, the admInistration building and the Gorrie Darn repairs account for the rise in the budget, Mr. Bamford said. General administration costs are $26,196, including salaries for three full-time employees and part-time labour, $11,721; equip- ment, $2,500; and materials and supplies, $.2,500; The remainder will pay for office rental, util- ities, insurance and miscellaneous e-NPonses.
