ion support despite some reser-
vations that it was not given suf-
ficient nubile exposure prior to the
approval by the premiers of the
ten provinces. However, the
Premier indicated that the rea-
son it was done the way it was
instead of each provinc setting
up Select Committees to study
the constitution, mas because of
the time involved. If each prov-
ince had agreed to the course of
action of setting up Select Com-
mittees. it could have resulted in
a delay of as long as 10-12 years
longer before the point, at which,
one stood today could have been
reached. He suggested we just
can't wait that long. •
