People of this province have
faithfully supported the master
Seal campaign conducted in
their communities,
in rural areas, villages, towns
and cities there are children
with a physical disability need,
ing help right now. , Social pos-
ition, race, colour or creed offer
no immunity, Crippling conditions
can occur in many ways. Babies
are born with cleft polateS, de-
formed or missing 'limbs, absence
of nerve and muscle control or
one of scores of impedimenta to
natural physical development.
disease causes many physical
r&abilities that can have a life-
long effect.. Children too, are
prone to accident, which in these
days of great speed appear to
increase rather than diminish.
Every child with a physical
handieap in this province must
have the encouragement and the
opportimity to succeed in his
search for a usenti and ProduetiVe

paign can and does make this hope
The Easter Seal Society in pur-
suing this ideal makeS available
to each child the diagnostie,
treatment and re habilitation
service best suited to the child's
needs. This program conducted in
clubs, with the doctors in the
community and the public health
agencies in almost every city and

town in Ontario — is one of most
comprehensive in the world.
• Each contribution to the 1965
Fuser Seal campaign will assist
in giving an ordinary existence to
"Timmy" and thousands of other
children who are still needing
greater help. The objective set
by Easter Sals — $1,000,000, must
be met in order to assure these
children of services they must
receive. Every Ontario citizen
who can help — should help.
WORTHY OF SUPPORT
Giving assistance in time of
disaster is a traditional obli-
gation of the Red Cross. We
expect the Red Cross to be on the
job no matter where or when
disaster strikes, and no, matter
how large or how small the. dis-
aster. The Red Cross is geared
for emergency action and its help
normally consists of providing
food, shelter, clothing, medical
treatment and care for, all vict-
ilia ims. In addition, it's the task of
the- Red Cross to register all dis-
aster victims so that relatives
enquiring after' their health, and
welfare may receive accurate
information.
Major disasters are relatively
rare in Canada,. We are forthhaI4
that we live in a zone conwra.
tively free of hurricanes, floods,
monsoons, earthquakes and the
like. But every year in Canada,
over 2,000 families are burned
out of their homes. This means
that the Red Cross must be in
Position to provide emergency
assistance for some 13,000 men,
women and children who are left
without a roof over their heads
and with no more than the clothea
on their backs. In these cases
the Red Cross arranges for etner
gency accomod a tion, food and
clothing ,until such time as the
victims can avail them-
selves of govermental welfare)
services. The Red Cross spends
more than $200,000 'o provide. this
Lind of assistant for Canadian
disaster victims every year.
March is Red C!'ors fdonth in
Canada. When support the
,Red Cross, you 'p to pro7ide•
the emergency as — stance that is
given to victints ,3,f disasters at
home and abroad.
When the Red Cross Canvasser
calls on you, be generous with
your don',' n.
Your support is given to the
Canadian Red Cross through
your donation to the United
Appeal.
