Many Gather To
'Greet Santa Claus
Santa Claus arrived here by
pony, on Saturday afternoon and
with favourable weather, found
many youngsters and adults on
hand to meet him.
He was accompanied, by a
group of young baton twirlers,
from Atwood, and several lOcal
floats, clowns, and a number or
costumed marchers. These were.
an added attraction to former
recent years. They gave colour ,
and gaiety to St. Nick's arrival.
Those responsible are to be com-
mended for their efforts. Per-
haps next year a band will offer
their services and more people
will take an interest and make an
effort to enter floats.
Assisted by helpers from the
local Lions Club and Legion
Branch Santa distributed treats
to all the children.
After Santa's visit the children
enjoyed two hours of free skating
at the Brussels arena.
