Stephens, the only physiciaa of :this village, died Monday night in Wingham and District Hospital, He was 68 years of age. Dr. Stephens had beea hospitalized for surgery in June of this year, He had re- sumed his practice but was un- able to continue and wag taken to hospital again on Sunday. A native of Wiarton, graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1922. He Practised at Chesley and was a staff member of, Westaninister Hospital, London, -before coming to Brussels in 1948, Jafiaaaalas'r charter member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch at Chesley, and a member of St. John's lodge AI* & AM, Brus- sels. He is survived by his wife the former Glenna Campbell: two sons, Dr, Russell Siephens, Jaalhousie University, Halifax, and Dr. Janfes 8tephens, of Kitchener; `three daughters, Mrs. D'Arcy (Dorothy) Toronto; Mrs. Lewis (Isabel) Pelloux, Seattle, Wasik., and Mrs. Charles (Glenna) a Cyra Saint John, N.B.; ankf4y - 16 grand- children; a brother, James of Victoria, B.C. and two sisters, Mrs. Priddle, Kitchener, and Mrs. Symon,'Wiarton. The funeral service was held from the D. A. Rann funeral home, Brussels, on Thursday at 1 p.m, The Rev. H. L. Jennings of St. Joliet/ Anglican •Church conducted the service.
