A. Christmas Bureau tuts a.gMn
been organized by the Board of
Directors of the Childrere,s Aid
Society of. Huron. County. This
was done last year with. great
success.
The objective is to ensure for
all needy children in the county
a happy Christmas, What is also
important is to prevent overlap-
ping by various organizations se'
that no one gets too much while
others get very little.
Those wishing to give through
the C.A.S. should have all do-
nations except perishable food,
in to headquarters at Goderich
befoi7 the end of Novemher as
boxes must be packed the first
week in .Decemoer.
Money is most acceptablelior
buying gifts for older children
as these are more expensive and
not many are donate&
socks, mitts, layettes, JewellerY
toilet articles, stationery, ganieS
for older children, flashlights,
billfolds, Christmas seals, ribbon,
tags, wrapping paper, donations
of food, are all gratefully accept-
ed.
Only new articles can be used
as Christmas gifts but clean used
Clothing, and bedding in good con-
dition are Most acceptable for
the boxes.
Clothing for boy's six to 81X-
'teen years and girls ten to six-
teen is urgently needed.
The generosity and co-operat-
ion of the Huron County folk
are again solicited.

in touch and who will welcome
any assitance given them.

Twenty one boys have formed
a Walton Wolf Club Pack under
the leadership of William Hum-
phries. The first meeting was
held in the Walton Public School
on Monday. The Boy Scouts will
meet each Monday evening in
the basement of Duff's Church.

At Thankoffering Meeting
Duffs United Church Women
held their fall 'Ishankoffering
Meeting in the auditorium of the
church, They had as guests at this
meeting United Church Women
from Burns, Monerieff, Louden-
boro and Seaforth.
The guests Were received by
Mrs. A. Higginbotham and. Mrs.
Andrew Coutts.
Mrs. Murray Dennis and Mire-
Gordon Murray ushered.
Mrs. Jack. Bryans of Brussels,
and Mrs. Harvey Brows of Blyth
provided piano and organ music.
The meeting was presided over
by Mrs. Emerson Word'. Mrs.
Gordon ,McGavin offered prayer.
Mrs. James Steward and Miss
Ruth Cluff of Seaforth sang a.
duet with Mrs. Peter Dunlop as
piano accompanist. Mrs. Donald
Buchanan read the scripture
