Knox. Church
Rev. S. J, Stewart, Moleaworth,
interim-moderator, conducted the
special service of communion
and baptism on Sunday, Nov. 1,
in Knox Church. Carla Jane, in-
fant daughter of Mr. and. Mrs.
Jim 'Knight, was baptised and
eight new members were receiv-
ed into membership of the
church. The new members are
Mr. and Mrs. Mare veitch and
son Ross, Mr. Frank Smith, Mr.
David Perrie, Mrs. Roes Engel,

Evening Auxiliary
Entertain Guests
The Evening Auxiliary of the
WMS held their Thank-offering
meeting in the church on, Thurs-
day evening October 29, with
guests from Brussels, Ethel, and
the afternoon WMS group. The
presideet, Mrs. Jjiin Knight pre-
sided and opened the meeting
with the call to worship. Miss
Joanne Dunn sang a solo accom-
panied on the organ by Mrs.
Stuart McNair. Psalm 96 was
read by. Mrs. Douglas Evans and.
meditations were •given by Mrs.
Stuart Stevenson and Mrs. Jack
Knight. Mrs. Leslie Knight gave
a reading, "The tilving of
Thanks". The offering was re-
ceived by Mrs. Norman. Pheifer
and Mrs. Cliff Bray. Prayers
were given by Mrs.. Stuart Evans,
Mrs. Douglas Evans and Mrs.
Ross Knight. Tne special speak-
er, Mrs. S. J, Stewart of Moles-
worth, was introduced by the
president and Mrs. Glenn Huether
expressed thanks for the fine mes-
sage and presented a cup and
saucer as a token of appreciation

Hallowe'en Party
The Walton 'Community Hall
was the scene of .a gala Hallow-
e'en party on Saturday eveniug.
The event was sponsored by the
Wolton Women's Institute. The
following members were the
committee in charge; Mrs. David
Watson, Airs. Frank Walters,
Mrs. Jan van Vliet, Mrs. Mae
Sholdice and Mrs. Douglas Ennis.
Walter Bewley was master of
ceremonies. The judges were Mrs.
Gordon Mcgavin, Mrs. Ray Hue-
ther and Mrs. David Watson.
Hallowe'en Dance
A Hallowe'en Dance was held,
here on Friday evening in the
Corcununity Hall. The prize
winners were: best dressed
couple, Mary Helen Buchanan
and Ruth Ritchie; best comic
couple, Mr. and. Mrs. Ross Ben-
nett; best dressed woman, Mrs.
Coutts; best-dressed
man, Miss Shirley Bolger.
