Mrs. Stanley Bride of Fordwich, President of North Region pre- sided at both morning and after- noon sessions. Mrs. R, Wilbee was the organist. Mrs. Drothy Brown was secretary for the day. Worship service started at nine- tbiry a.m. conducted by ladies or ,Bluevale, 11.11s, Hetherington and Mrs. Fraser, Rev. Allan Johnston brought greetings from Ethel Church to visiting ladies, Reports were presented by Mrs. Olde of Clinton; Mrs. 0. Harrison, Monkton; Mrs. S. C, Argyle; Goderich; Mrs. G. Michie, Brussels gave report for Mrs. McCreath, Walton; and Mrs. I Dorothy Brown read report for Mrs. A. Alton, Lucknow, 'Mrs. Allan. McTaggart, pre- I sident of Huron Presbyterial United Church Women, intro- duced the guest speaker, at morn- ing session, Mrs. Cruikshank- vice president of London Confer- once. Mrs. Ornikshank gave an interesting and informative talk 4:in "Woman's Place in the 'Changing World". A delicious dinner was served by the ladles of Fjthel United Church in the Comimunity Hall. On returning to the church the ladies were able to peruse a wonderful display of United Church Literature presented by Mrs. Argyle of Goderich, Afternoon session started with a. hymn sing under the direction of Mrs.. B. Godden, president of the lithel United Church Women. This was followed by prayer by Mrs. Cooper of Fordwich, Mrs. Allan McTaggart gave a, nice talk as president of Huron Presbyterial s .United Church Women. Roll call followed with twelve LICw's representing nine- ty-six ladles attending the Con- vention. Each president gave highlights of her group during. the past year. A panel discussiOn was direct- ed by Mrs. l3eecroft assisted by Mrs Michie and Mrs. MacTaggart, Theme being: "Gleanings from Alma College." Courtesy remarks were given by Mrs. Foster of Newbridge. Mrs. Gill is the former Mildred Hoy of Ethel. The couple, who farm on the 4th con. of Grey Township, have three children and three grandchildren. Among the guest at the celebra- tion was Rev. C. E.
