This year's banquet and celebration will be held in the
Legion Hall, Goderich.
A Credit Union is a, group of people who agree to save
their money together and to Make loans to each other at
low interest. It is organized within a particular group,
such as people working for the same employer; people
who are members of the same church; labour union;
fraternal order; people who live in the same community;
Membership is open to anyone in the group regardless of
race, color or creed.

First, Meeting
The first meeting of the. Brus,
eels 4-1-1 :Homemaking Club "The
Club Girl Stands on Guard" was
bold on October 5th, at 7:00 p.m.
at the Wheeler home.
Time meeting was opened with
the 4-H pledge.
The election of officers was
held with the results as follows:
President Rosemary Blake
Vice-President . Gale 'Wilson.
Pianist Laurel Hemingway
Secretary Any girl called upon
Our next meeting will be held
on Monday, October 12th, at 7;00
p.m.
The book covers were die-
cussed and are to be plastic with
white Bristol board background.
The lettering is to be navy blue
with a red leaf with a red cross
outlined in white on the red, leaf.
The commentator for the exhibit
is to be Gerda Exel.
The girls were given an out-
line to follow in making the
record book.
The' club objectives, and notes
were given out.
The group work was filling In
the pages in the "Members"
pamphlet.
The meeting was closed with
"0 Canada".

history of Huron County are
invited to attend the first meet-
of the Huron 'County Historical
Society at the. Colborne Town-
ship Hall at Carlow on October
10th at S p.m.
The guest speaker, Professor
James R. Scott, executive assist-
ant to the President of the Uni-
versity of Waterloo who is
presently writing a book on the
history of Huron County, will
address the meeting. He will
give some valuable information
on the life in this County in the
early 1800's. Several meetings
have been held by the Executive
and Council members to draw up
the poposed constitution and
by-laws which will be presented
to the members next month.
The prOjects committee with
the convenor, Mrs. Tait Clark,
are working on several projects
and aim to prepare an annual,
year book. • They are collecting
booklets on church and one-room
school histories which have been
printed and if anyone has some of
these local histories, the com-
mittee would like them to assist.
