Hetherington To Be Named County Judge Reports from Ottawa indicate that Robert IS. Hetherington, 56, of Wingham, who conducts the law practice of Crawford and Hetheirington here in Brussels, is likely to be appointed as Huron County court judge, M. Hetherington bat, been mayor of Wingham for the past three years. He entered munici- pal politics in 1936, when he was elected to Wingham town' council. He remained a coun- cilor for two terms and was elected reeve of the town in 1938 and 1940. He served during the Second World War with the 99th Bat- tery, RCA, and when the war ended held the rank of lieuten- ant-colonel. He is a past president of the Huron Liberal Association, past president of Wellington-Huron Liberal Association and past president of the Huron-Bruce Liberal Association, CARD OF THANKS I wish to convey my heartfelt thanks to all my neighbours and ;friends for visits, cards, letters gifts and flowers which I recetia ed while a patient in Listowel Hospital. A Chantilly lace cummerbund accented the Waist- line. I-Ter shoulder-length silk illusion veil was gathered in a, tiara, of seed pearls. She carried a cascade of Sweetheart Roses. Miss Shaven W. Hemingway, of Brantford, was maid of honour and her sister, Miss Rosemary Gowing, as bridesmaid wore ideitt_ tical gowns of royal blue peau de soie with matching headress of rosette and veiling. They car- ried cascades of white Shasta daisies. Mr. Marcel Belanger of Ottawa was groomsman. Ushers were David and Neil Crewing, brothers of the bride. The reception was held in the church parlour.
