Duff's UCVO Meeting
The regular monthly meeting
of the 17th and Boundary Unit
of UGW Duff's United Church,
Walton, was held at the home
of Mrs. Harold Smalldon. with
13 members answering the roll
call, Mrs. Bert Williamson op-
ened the meeting and hymn 164
was sung and Mrs. Williamson
led in prayer. A poem was read
ana Mrs. Jan Van Vlie't,
took tne topic from, 'Our Liv-
ing Faiths, Scripture passages
were read by Mrs. Williamson.
,Mrs.• 'Olifford Ritchie conduct-
ed the business, Minutes were
read and approved. Pinancial
reports were given oy Mrs.
Clifford lioegy and Mrs. ROSS
Bennett. A sheet discussion
period followed, and the meet-
ing was closed with the sing
ing of the hymn "Jesus Lover 04
My Soul," and prayer. Lunch
was served by the hostess, as-
sited by the lunch committee.
Family And Friends Honour
Couple On. Golden Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. John McDonald
were honoured guests at a
family dinner party on Saturday
evening when they celebrated
the '50th anniversary of their
marriage.
About seventy-five relatives
attended the happy event held
in the Walton Community Hall.
During the evening friends and
ansighbours called to offer their
congratulations and good wishes.
