This auditor- 1UM is expected to hold 140 tor dancing, 200 for banquets or 250 for meetings. The auditorium will, be let out on a rental basis at a , nominal fee. It is estimated that the build- ing, plus the interior fixtures will run in the neighbourhood of $60,000.00. The building fund contained $10,000.00, and it is hop'ed to realize on the sale of the existing building a further $10,000.00. There was borrowed $70.000.00 from a trust company which leaves $20,000.00 to be raised by local subscription and donations from various companies. it may he noted at this time that there are no grants given to this type of project, either from the Croyernment or the various Legion Commands. The I branch are strictly on their own and have to depend on the generousity of the good people in the district. It may also be pointed out that all construction is being done by local . tradesmen and this has given men of the area ernp:op ment for a few 'months. There is no specific date for the campgaign to get under way as it will be spread over the month of JUT' and will be done by the members whenever they can. get the time from their own chores to do so.
