Melville Church, May 20th
The May meeting of the
Maitland Presbyterial of the
Women's Missionary Society
Will be held in. Melville Pres-
byterian Church, Brussels, on
Wednesday, May 20th, with two
sessions. The afternoon meet-
ing will open at two o'clock and
in the evening at seven ()Mock.
Dinner will he served in the
school room of the church follow-
ing the afternoon meeting.
Rev. Angus MacKay, a native of
Whitchurch, and now a mission_
ary on furlough from the Jhanst
field in India, will speak in the
afternoon, In the evening his
wife, Mrs. Mad Kay will continue
the story of their life in India
and will illustrate with slides.
The Lucknow WMS group will
eresent their skit on Formosa-
as given at Synodical in London
the meeting.
Anyone interested in the mission-
c.ry work in India is cordially

Ten Schools Competed For Honors
Pupils of 10 Grey Township
schools competed at Cranbrook on.
Wednesday at the annual Grey
Townnhip 'Music Festival.
The one - day festival wan
sponsored by the Grey Township
school area board. Adjudicator
was Dr. G, R. Fenwick, of

Toronto.
Heaviest competition in the,
festival -was in the duet class
which drew 37 entries. Carolyn!
and Diane Fraser won first with
a mark of 85.
Top marks of the morning and.
afternoon sessions went to SS 5,

chorus division with 87 points.

our local 'dairy is delicious. Now,
the horses know it. A horse from
another dairy showed its pre-
ference for' Brussels butter
when it gobbled up a pound,
wrapper and all, which it swiped
off the Cousins Dairy truck
while it was parked in Seaforth.
With al] the vandalism going
on in our village citizens are
demanding additional police
protection, Reeve Kreuter stated
that an extra policeman and
police car would -cost the tax-
payers another 10 mills. This
is one of the disadvantages of
living in a small incorporated
village.
