REPORT FROM
GIG ESN's PARS
(By Murray Gaunt, M.P.P.)
During the estimates of the.
Department of Economics and.
Development the Hon. Minister,
Mr. Randall, believed there was
merit in the ged.era,1 Govern-
ment's tax incentives deprec-
iation allowances to attract
industry to slow grOwtb. areas
He indicated where tee Pro-
vincial Government is wilting to
()reoperate in such an endeavour.
At the same time, he did sound s,
mote of caution in this regard. He
said it had some pitfalls espec-
ially where a, company was en-
up Mr. Randall's thinking on
this matter is that he feele that
the industry location progress
of the federal government is
good provided industry is en- 1,
couraged to locate in a community ,
where the industry will be able to
compete after the concessions
are withdrawn.
"Education is indeed every-

population in the past decade
or so and in. the estimates that i
by 1970 we shall reach, if not 1-
exceed the two million mark.
A grant of $10,000 is being
made to the Ontario Library
Association this year and sir:
sequently an annual greet of
$5,000 until a library survey,
which it has projected, has been
completed.
