Young anglers are daily try-
ing their luck these spring days.
"we might add they are taking
borne some tasty looking treats
tor their efforts. However,
parents should warn their young-
: ters not to let enthusiasm make
them carless of danger to pre-
vent tragedy such as has come

Congratulations to John Thynne
who won the Zone C 1 Euchre
Trophy at the recent euchre tour-
nament held at the local legion,
and accomplished that feat while
playing for a visiting team.
We noticed that some buttons had
popped off his coat, no doubt
frorn the swelling of his chest
with pride.

aomeone with, little regard for
the sanctity of a church entered
-the Crated church last week,
aorced the lock of the organ,
damaging the wood, and burnt out
the motor. It is bard to believe
that anyone in this community
would deliberately cause damage
to church property. Perhaps they
just had an irresistible urge to
play the instrument without per-
missiOn.
The recreational committee
report the just concluded season
at the arena as being a most
'gratifying one financially. Re-
ceipts were double those of
previous years. It was also a
mose succeEkiful 'season 'sports-
wise. Full advantage was taken
of the artificial ice surface with
hockey, broombell, •skating, figure
skating, and carnival providing
wholesome, healthy Betty! ties
