Annual Ladles' Night

St, John's. Anglican church,
parlour in Monday evening with
the JPreSident, 'Cecil Parker, in
the chair.
Following a delicious dinner
and a sing song with Don.
Dunbar at the piano, they were
entertained by the. Lady Bugs.
Lion Cecil McFadden pro-
posed a toast to the ladies with
Mrs, Barb McOutcheon res-
pending.
Lion George Mutter conducted.
a few ,games after which Lion,
'Chas. Thomas introduced the
,guest speaker, Mr. Ivan Lloyd
from Doulglas Point *Nuclear
Station. who showed slides.
Everybody spent an enjoyable
evening.
Grandson of 'Brussels Couple
Dies When 'Hit By Car

and Mrs, R. Gemmel, or Brussels,
whose four-year-old grandson,

Mrs. Allister Bird had the
misfortune to injure herself in
a fall in her home last week.
She spent several days in Lis.

Smith and family.
Mrs. Earl Dunn visited her
mother in the hospital at Byron
and her sister Mrs. Doug Whit-

accompanied her father, Stanley
Machin of Listowel.

sons, 'Varna, were Sunday -visit-
ors with Mrs. Stuart Evans,

Cameron sustained a fractured
left wrist in a fall last week.

The Apill meeting of Majestic
'omens Institute was held in
the Brussels Public Library on.
April 9th a 0,p.m.
Mrs, O. Hemingway was in
the chair, The, Meeting openea
with the Mary Stewart Collect.
The minutes were read and
the Treh,surer's annual report
given• Receipts were $264.90,
Eixpenditures were $231.40, bal-
ance $33.42.
Roll call was answered with
suggestions for the 64-65 pro-
grams.
A show of hands approved
having a Sunshine Sister another
year.
A motion made the fee $1.00
'Correspondence followed. A
Special invitation was wxtended
for members to go to the Club
Girls Achievement Day, April 25,
at Auburn.
A decisive vote was given to
hold meetings in the afternoon.
A sing song was conducted by
David Hemingway with Mrs. is
Hemingway at the piano as ac-
companist.
Mrs. Spelr read a letter ask-
ing the Majestic W.I. to be
hostesses at Huronview for the
September birthdays. A vote
approved we do this.
Mrs. George Davis gave a
splendid motto "The world is
full of willing workers, some
willing to work,, some willing to•
let them work".

Mr. and Mrh. George Bone cele-
brated their 50th wedding anni-
versary on Wednesday, April 80,
with an "At Home" when relas
lives, friends and neighbours
called to offer their congratulat-
ions and good wishes. The couPle
also received lovely gifts to mark
the occasion.
In the afternoon Mrs. Ida Davis
poured tea and Mrs, Roy Thuell,
Mrs, Allan McCall. and Mrs. Jack
Lowe served. in the evening Mrs.
Mae Brya,ns poured tea and. Mrs,
Jack McCutcheon, Mrs. Gordon.

They have one daughter, Mrs.
11-P-rryn. (Dorothy( McCauley liv-
ing in Brussels. There are three
grandsons, Donald McCauley of
Listowel and Gerald and Barring-
ton of Brussels, and four great
grandchildren.
Mrs. Bone, the former Eithe/
Sellers, is the daughter of the
late Henry and Mrs. Sellers.
Mrs. Bone is one of a family or
five. She has one sister, Mrs.
Martin Garniss of, Wingham, one
'brother, Jack Sellers of Moose
Jaw, Sask. and, one brother,
Percy of Fort Erie, still living.
Mr. Bone is a son of the late
Henry and Mrs. Bone. He is one
of a family of eight. There is
'one brother, Russel of Morris
Township, and one sister, Mrs.
Wm. (Mabel( McMichael of
Detroit, still living.
After their marriage Mr. and
Mrs. Bone lived for two years
On concession two, Morris. In
1916 they moved to concession
four, Morris where they lived
continuously until 1952, when
they moved to Brussels.
