sels School Board was held uu
Monday, January Sth. The Board
was pleased to welcome two new
members, Louis Ebel and Allan
Howard Bernard was appointed
chairman for 1964 and. Ivan Ci mp-
bell vice-chairman.
Following the reading of the
minutes of last year's inaugural'
meeting Mrs. iElizabeth Egiott
was appointed secretary-treasur-
er and George Davidson truant
officer.

The J anuary meeting of the
Women's Missionary Society was
held in the home of Mrs. Earl
Dunn, with ,Mics. Alex Steiss as
leader. 'file meeting was opened
with a New Year's poem, followed
by a hymn, with Airs. Herman.
Whitfield at the piano. .sauna 23
and Z.,' 4 were react, even member
reading a verse. Tue New Year's
topic. was prepared awl' read by
I Miss. Alice J. Forrest. Aiwa Earl
Dunn, president, conducted the
business. Minutes were read by
the secretary, iViors. Alex Steiss,
also a report of the year's work.
The treasurer reported on the

previous year. Glad Tidings sub-
scriptions have increased con-
siderably also. Ten members
and one visitor attended. A
New Y,ear's verse was given in
resPonse to .the roll call. The
annual meeting of Maitland Pres-
byterial to be held in Wingham
on *Tuesday, January 14th was
discussed. Also the Day of Prayer

ing. Plans were Made also for
a pot luck supper in connection
with the aninial meeting of the
congregation on February 4th.
A hymn was sung and all repeat-
ed the Mizpah benediction. WS.
