Remembrance Day Marked In Brussels
By Impressive Cenotaph, Church Services

Ethel United Church was the
setting when Edna Anne Pestell
and "Wi'hem Harold Bremner,
exchanged marriage vows on Sat-
urday, Nov. 9th at 2:30 p.m.
Rev. Allan Johnston of Brus-
sels, officiated before an ar-
rangement of white mums inter-
mingled with ferns and lighted
• tapers.
Mrs. Maurice Williams, RR, 4,
tAltwood, played the wedding
music,. Soloist, Miss Marion
Nichol, RR 3, Atwood sang the
'Wedding Prayer" before the
ceremony and "The Lord Is My
Shepherd" during the signing of
the register.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr, and Mrs. .T. N. Testell, R.R 3,
Brussels, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L Brem-
ner of 11R, 3, Listowel.
The bride had chosen a white
floor length gown of brocaded
fle-luetered satin fashioned on
princess lines with lily point
sleeves. The bouffant skirt was
caught up 'with a self hoW and
created a hustle effect. Her waist
length veil was held by a coronet
ef seed pearls- and rhinestones.
She carried a, crescent of white
shaggy mums and stephanotis.
Matron of 'honor was Mrs.
Donald Pestell, 'Burlington. sister
in-law of the bride. 'She wore a
floor length gown of gold pear de
ISimillar gowns were worn.
by the bridesmaid, Miss Marlene
Hewitt, Toronto. cousin of the
groom, and flower girl, Donna
Bremner, 131nevale, niece
of the groom. They carried cas-
cades of, mums in autumn shades.
The flower girl carried a small
basket of simillar flowers.
Edward Doig, Toronto, was best
mini. -Ushers were Terry Wennedy
London and Donald Pestell,
Burlington, brother or the bride.
A reception followed at the
Blue learn Restaurant with the
Rev. Johnston acting as master of
•ceremonies.

and Ivan Campbell of Brussels,
played selections on the bagpipes
before the marriage and at the
reception.
Leaving by plane for a wedding
trip to New York, the bride
changed to a, Cranberry red euit,
a Muskrat jacket, black acme
series and a corsage of white
gardenias. .
They will reside in Toronto,
who're the bride is a nursing in-
structor at, St, Michaels Hospital.
Both are graduates of Listowel
District High School.

Mervyn Edgar McCauley, 50,
of Brussels, died in Victoria
