R.emembrauce Ceremony in Ottawa on Novemb- er She is him Mary Stodgell of Winnipeg.. Mrs. Sledgell will place one of the official wreaths at the National War Memorial. Her Wreath - - on behalf of some 104,000 mothers who lost sons in war - - will be placed immediate- following that of 1-lis Excellency the Governor General. Other official wreaths wi-1 be placed by the Prime Minister, Judge C. C. 1Sparling, Dominion Presi., dent, iboyal, Canadian Legion, and the Clhiefs of staff. Mrs. Stodgell had five sons in the service during the war. Two died in the Pacific and one in North4West Europe. Stanley Stodgell was killed at Hong Hong on December 19, 1941, while serving with the Winnipeg Grenadier. He was a1 years old, Garnett Stodgell was taken prisoner at Hong Kong. lie died fin captivity in 1943 while serv- ing with the 'Winnipeg Grena- diers. lie was U. A third brother, Cyril, was killed iu Belgium in 1014. He was a member of the Lake Superior Among the surviving brothers are Norman and Boy. itoy served at Hong Kong with the Winnipeg Grenadiers; Norman: served, in. Europe with the Princess Pats. While in ;Ottawa, Mrs. Stodgell will be the guest of the Qanadian, Legion.
