Couple Honored On
25th Anniversary
On Sunday afternoon, Sept. 1.5,
Mr, and Mrs. Douglas Heming-
way were ,.pleasantily surprised!.
by members of their immediate
who arrived in a
'cavalcade at their home. The
occasion was the '25th anniver-
sary of their wedding and con-
gratulations and best wishes
were showered on them.
The 45 guests overflowed unto
the sunny lawn where they
visited and chatted, A sing-song
of favourite songs and hymns
with Mirs, Harold Cardiff at the
piano, ,ended with a specially
composed song depicting the life
of the happy couple. As it finish-
ed Stewart Lowe presented them
each with a silver anniverary tea,
cup, and a set of TV tray tables.
Dougla's thanked their friends
for , good wishes and gifts. The
prograM continued with
a lovely du et. "Irow Great 'Thou
Art" by Mrs. Edwin T7Iston and
Cyril Prescott. A delieious lunch
was enjoyed,

town girls made a gallant battle
