GENTLEMEN'S CLUB
NEWS ITEMS
Mr. T, P. K
d had the doubtful pleasure of.
hearing you, at Bethsada garden . .
patty and am not at all satisfied.
Why • people laugh at your .joke:T
I .really cannot understand. You
also 'keep hitting the floOr with
'your foot. Have you got rOlyde
itch? You do not know me but T.
tell people Just what T think. I'm
the lady who asked you to let my
little boy Randolph Fauntelroy
junior. recite the Wreck of the
ReSperus and the Charge of the
of the Light .Brigade on your
program. You entertainers are all
alike. Last year we had the
Paull Brothers and they were so
.jealous they went home • before
he finished his recitation. Ran-
dolph should he in Holy-wood and
many people have told .. me so.
Yours truly
Mrs. Randolph Fauntelroy
Dear Mrs. Fauntelroy:
Allow me to congratulate you,
on having such a fine son. I do
recall you, but you are so young
looking I thought Randolph was
your brother. I regret I could nob
.include • hifra in my program but
please let me explain. I do try to
help local talent and gave Helen,
,Doucette (famous New York
night club entertainer) her first
Public appearance. Last year the
Paitli Bros. gave Randolph a spot
on their program, He staorted to
recitodLongfelll OW' sil.iawatha. No
'doubt your boy is clever an&
should not be confined to togan:
Township, The Paull boys .did
mention one other place but it
wasn't Hollywood. Anyway he
got halfway throdgh, was some-
where on the shores or. tletchi
•ainnee when he forgot his lines,
so he started all, over. The Paul
Brothers went home alright but
so did everyone else except
'Randolph Fauntley .Tunior,
doting grandparents, yourself
and the minister, who had fallen
asleep, Old Noliotnis had twice as
niniir wrinkles when he finished.
Don't let Randolph recite the
Charge of the Light Brigade. Dur-,
in the First World War a, teg-
,tment from Newfoundland was
'waS given an order by some Lord
or Colonel with a hereditary title
and 50 Men returned out of 8004
of course they were only dolon-
ials. I have a number I would like
to hear Randolph present. It is'
!called, the Fiddle and the Bow. It
has never been presented at a,
church garden party. Bob Fraser
has some fine material and he
might release it to you. Telt
Randolph to drop me a card front
Hollywood, Maybe Liz TaYlor
would autograph it for me,
Truthfully Yours
