The Chicken Barbecue spon-
sored by the Pipet 'Enron Agri-
lcultural Society at tne Crystal
Palace Wednesday evening, was
'the usual tasty success. Approx-
-imately 450 people availed
'themselves of the opportunity to
enjoy it.

Th,e Lions Park has already
proved to he a popular spot this
season for picnics. It le being
used frequently by both local
area residents and tourists. The
Lions swings and slides, at the
{Brussels land surrounding Com-
munity peeks, are being enjoyed
daily by the youngsters.

It has come to our attention
that windows have been broken
in a number of homes, and other
buildings, dn the village, by bee.

Mcilradden. it was decided to
donate an additional $20;00 to the
Pee Wee ball team for the pur-

Instruction at Seaforth will he
jointly sponsored again this year
by the Lions and Legion. There
was also a motion carried to
make a donation of $50.00 to the
Scouts so that those less fortunate
than most can go to camp also,

speaker at the June meeting of
the Majestic W. I. held in the
Brussels Public Library on June
17th, at 835 p.m,
Mrs. C. Hemingway, president
opened the meeting and presided
for the businese period. She spoke
of the 'Objects of the Institute",
these being:

greater home efficiency.
