trip to Lapier Coubty in. the
State of Michigan. under the co-
operative Extension 'work. with
the tniversity of Michigan, on
Friday, August 30th. The trip
will visit such placesas Simmons
Bros: farm, who are feeding in
head of. ;Cattle and 700-800 hogs,
they farrow their own pigS, They
grow 400 ,a,cres of corn, and feed
high .moisture corn and corn
silage.•
Lake Bros. farms are very near
the Simmons farms, teen's is a
100 cow dairy 'farm. fray Modern,
They have a good System of rats-
ing their calves. They grow about
2,00 adres of corn and feed corn
silage at a high level,
The Meatus Bros, tarm is about
three Miles from the other two
farms. They feed 350 steers and,
have a dairy herd of 90 cows.
The AIM Shonits farm which
in Anne near by is a forty cow
dairy herd and one of the top
producing herds in the county.
