large crowd of interested ladies

capable commentator assisted by
Barbara Jean McChitcheon of
Morning Star Lodge.
The wee models stole the Show
they were so adorable in their
Easter finery. They were little
Michelle Rintoni, Bonnie Lee
Richmond and Debbie MeCall.

Easter Meeting
The Easter meeting of the
Women's Missionary Society
Was held on Friday, April 3, in
the church. parlour. The Presi-
dent Mrs. W. ,Smith, was in the
chair and opened the meeting
with an Easter hymn, "Christ
the Lord is risen to-day" follow-
i'd +•ollowNi by the Lord's
Prayer repeated in unison. Tha
Scripture reading from St. John
,Chap. .21. was read by Mrs. Wes
Kerr and Mrs, Roy 'Purvey led
in prayer.
The Easter message "The
Last 'fight Days of Life of
Jesus" was given , by Miss
Bessie Moses followed by a
beautiful solo "Open the Gates
of the Temple" by Mrs, Carl
Douglae of Belmore.
The roll call was responded to,
by a verse containing the word,
rise and visits to the shut-ins
were recorded, Mrs. ,Staitti
conducted the business part of
the meeting. A hymn was. sung
and the meeting was closed
with the Mispah benediction.

GOES TO EDMONTON
PRESBYTERY
Mr. James Perrie B.A., e

elder son Of Mr. and Mrs. W.
J. Perrie of Grey Township, has
been appeirited by the Board of
Missions of the Presbyterian
Church of Canada to the 2-point
charge of Kilian and Gallahed in
the Edmonton Presbytery. Mr.
Perrie will ,commence his duties
early in June.

Miss Sylvia Ilpover reigned as
the ehosen Queen or the Carnival
when. the Brussels arena was the
scene of another suceeesful event,
the annual Skating Carnival, on.
Friday .night, held, for the first
time on the artificial ice surface
installed this year.
Many costumed skaters partici-
pated in the various classes and.
the races brought a large numb-
er of speedsters Into competition.
Costumes were beautiful, orig-
inal, and varied, ranging from a
colorful butterfly and bushy
tailed skunk to a headlees man,
With trjarmps, lumberjacks, rep-
resentatives of nationalities, and
lovely ladies and gallant gentle-
men, among others, together
with the spectators, all enjoying
the carnival spirit.
The 1964 Queen, Miss Syvia.
Hoover, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Norman Hoover, received her
crown from last year',,Queen.,
Miss. Linda Wilson,
The Brussels Morris and Grey
Recreation Committee were
sponsors of the carnival. The
Rev. Allan Johnston was Master
of Ceremonies and the activities
were conducted under the direct-
ion of J. M, McDonald, George
McCutcheon and Jack Mc ye iiirter
who was in charge of the public
address system. '
Judges were Mrs. George
iMiehle, Mrs, Doug Hemingway
and Mrs. Sam SWeeney.
