WHEELER SMITH
In a spring setting of daffodils,
tulips and snapdragons, wedding
vows were exchanged between
Mary Isabelle Smith and Robert
James Wheeler in Melville
Presbyterian ClruIrch on, Satur-
day, March 15th, at twelve
o'clock. The ceremony was
performed by Rev. W. J. Morrison.
The bride is the danghter of
Mr. and Mrs. William W. Smith
and the bridegroom is the son
of Mrs Augnstne Wheeler and
the late Mt. Wheeler all of
Brussels.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, was gowned in
exquirsite Italian silk taffeta
,fashioned, with. Iscalleped neck-
line, long lily point sleeves, fitted
bodice with inserted panels of
Alencon lace re-embroidered with
Pearls and crystals. The magnifi-
cent bouffant skirt carried out the
pleated effect to form a chapel
train. She wore a matching
bouffant veil with a tiara head-
piece highlighting the embroider-
ea jewels of the gown. She carried
a cascade baguet of pink Sweet-
heart roses, white feathered
carnations and hyacinth petals.
'Miss Sean Smith of Walkerton,
maid of honor for her sister,
and Mrs. Chester Higgins of
Brussels, who was bridesmaid,
wore 'identical daffodil yellow
ballerina length gowns of silk
organza lined with silk taffeta.
They were styled with fitted self
embroidered bodice with sheer
scoop neckline, yoke, and three-
qtrarter length sleeves, bell
bouffant skirt with , bustle back
effect, matching -wedding ring
heatiresees and yellow shoes,
Their flowers were cascade
boat-tots of white and yellow

scalloped, short sleeves and fall

In the first game Brussels
clashed with Newry. This proved
to be a thriller. The score was
tied 2-2 at the end of regulation
lime.
After forty-five minutes of
sudden death overtime Brussels
scored the winner, Kim Beirnes
'wing the hero, Biernes picked up
all three goals 'In the 'first game.
The boys were given a half
hour rest and play began for
the championship. Although
fatigued and smaller than the
M.onaton team, the boys inland
heart warming hoelcey, Bruseele
won the championship 4-2.
The ,rnarksmen in the second
game were Paul McDonald and
Tn.' an 'Workman, each scoring
two goals.
The Pee Wee team played as a
unit and deserve congratudations
