council approved the following
appointments to hospital boards:

General Hospital; Beecher
Menzies, Clinton Public Hospital;

Hospital, Exeter.
Resolutions appreved included,
one from the County of Went-
worth that the Ontario govern-
ment take immediate steps to Pass
legislation which would prohibit
the nee and sale of mineral base
detergents in Ontario, and that
the Ontario Water Resources
Commission inform citizens of
the province of the "serious-
ness" of detergent pollution in
Ontario waters without further
delay,
A County of Grey resolution.
asking the provincial government
to introduce legislation to en-

resolution petitioning the Minister

Municipalities get back in-
digent hospital care costs 'under
the municipal unconditional
grants. In addition, however,
many munictpalities carry in-
suranee under the provincial
hospital scheme to cover indigent
and unemployed persons, but the
premiums for this are not
eligible for grants.
