LETTER TO THE
• Dear Ekli'l.or;
It think it is about time some-
thing was said about• the,
shopping conditions in out town,
I wonder did the Mernhants
ever •think about why the
labourers and the farmers seme-
times do their shopping in other
entors?
They are working during
shopping limirs. At noon bony
some men haven't time, maybe
Dm fancily is ill or it's too cold
io take the children. out during
shopping boars . Ts it not common
hnewledge that the businesses
should eater to public dernand,
not the businesses demanding or
the public?
What about the farmer in the
mild weather? They are on the
land at every chance. They Want
to wind up Their work-week on.
Saturday night by coming to
town. Let's look at the past,
'Ibis used to be a fairly lively
little town.
Ii's too bad the stores
couldn't, see fit to star open one
niedn a week. Let's face it, if a
man works from S a.m. to 6 P.m.
for six days a. Week and gets his
salary on Saturday night, when
can be do his shopping?
It sure Is dead on Saturday
night now, Instead of "rolling.
lip the sidewalks', on Saturday
night, we could stand them on
end and use them ter tomb-
arones, it's so dead. ,
