The supper was held-indoors, In the,
Crystal Palace, due to the uncert-
ainty of the weather,'A.s:the farmers •
were unable to proceed. with haying
it increased their attendance 'at the :
supper after which a program was
presented by Brussels HI•T Club,
On Wednesday night of last week,
after a wonderful ,cbiciten • supper
sponsored by the Fair Board, the •
citizens of Brussels and area, were
given a surprise, The program was
unusual, it was fast moving and
it was obviously enioyed
(even the performers), Miss Nancy
Me\Vhirtor sang "Climb Any MOunt-
ain" and '"I Could Have Danced AB •
Night", The second number was a •
square dance Jyy the boys and digs
Of 'Miss Mitchell's ern a,. curl
(Ili-T dancers of the future).
Bob Cunningham, who was MX% for
this part of the program, turned it,
over, at this point, to .the
flub WC., (Ben Machan and bedlam
broke loose, Six. flappers • did a
.rousing version -of the Charleston,
They were IVLarni Bronson,. Annel
Lowe, Diane Hastings, Mary 'Watson,
Call Wilson and Sylvia, Hoover. This
was followed by exhibitions of
modern dance. Three dancers, John
Watson, Rosemorie . -Krause and
Nancy .MeWhirter amazed the aud-
ience with the Limbo Rock. A jive. •
session was given by Rosemarie
Krause and John 'Watson, Darlene
Mac tin and Rae Smith, accompan-
ied by David Krautor on a toy piano,
followed by the Twist by Tim McNeil
and rally Machan, Marlene Smith arid
Rae Smith, Nancy .McWhirter and;
David 'Griffiths. A demonstration of
Hitler's skill as a Master Painter was
'given by Archie Thompson. A blow'
was dealt to Wm. Shakespeare when
the Pli-T Roving Players " murdered

ANNIVERSARY MARKED
On Saturday, June 23rd, Rev. and
Mrs. H. L. Jennings celebrated their
twenty-fifth wedding anniversary at
the home of Mrs. G. L. May, sister of
Mrs. Jennings, at Gorrie. Mrs. H.
Jennings, of Chatham, mother of Mr.
Jennings, and Mrs. A. P. Hill, sister
of Mr. Jennings, of Goderich, were
present for the occasion. On Sunday
afternoon at the Anniversary Social
Hour the congregation of St. David's,
Hen fryn, presented a set of T.V.
Tables as an anniversary gift.
Mr. and W. Jennings were
married at Fort Norman, N.W.T., by
the Bishop of .Athabasca.

The auditorium of the school was
• decorated in blue and silver with a
rose centred buffet table where
cookies and punch were served by
the chaperons. Music for dancing
was s'applied by the Comet Teens
of Wingham. At 10:30,, with appropr-
iate ceremony, Miss Dianne Hastings
was crowned "Miss Brussels Hi- T"
by President Don Smith,She was
presented with a boquet of Peace
1 roses on behalf of the Theassels
Horticultural Society. She also
received several othei gifts.
CONGRATULATIONS
Miss lVfarni Bronson and Miss
Linda. Somerville are being congrat-
ulated on receiving first-class honors
in their theory examinations, of the
Royal Conservatory of Music. Their
marks were 96 and 97 respectively.
They are the pupils of Mrs. Louis
D. Thompson.

The Royal Canadian Legion Pipe
Band led the parade into the cemet-
ery. Flag bearers were Mrs, Clharles
Shaw, Mrs..David Hastings, Leonard
Ward and Stewart Humphrey.
Murray 'Cardiff, Noble Grand of,
Western Star Lodge, was in charge
of the service and extended a wel-
come to all members of the organ-
izations and *lettere.
James Edgar, chaplain of the
Lodge, led in prayer.
