Mr. Ellis was born. in Satorris, Township', the son of the late Thomas Ellis and Ellen 'Miller. He attended S.F.,1, No. 6, Morris and farmed in that township until he retired to Winghain in December, 1954. • 'F-Ie was 'married on June 28, 1930, to Alba R Hogg, neg. N., at Mitchell, Ont, Mr. Ellis 'was a valued member of St. John's Anglican Church, Brussels, where he served as a warden for nine years, and took a keen interest in the rebuilding of the church after the fire in 1945. .Since going to Winghtim he has been a member of St. Paul's Cilitirch there. He was a past master of St. 'Masonie Lodge, Brussels, member of the L.O.L. and IVinghan. Masonic and services were held at the 'home on Sunday afternoon. He 'is sarvived by his wife, a daughter, -Shirley, at home, and. one sister, 'Mrs. ..Charles (Annabelle) Draper of Morris Township. Th e, funeral was held Monday altertmon trOni, the R. A. Carrie Sr. Sons funeral home with the Rev. C. F.. Johnston officiating. •Interment took place' in Brussels cemetery. Pallbearers were Wallace Agar, John McEibbon., Roy Cousins. ,Archie Engel, Roy Sellers and Gordon Embury. The, flowerbeareS were nephews; I Lorne - Draper, Bill, Elgin and Raymond nogg, Miirray Jenkins and Arnold Anderson.
