The meeting was opened with singing of "0 Canada" and gettieg acquainted. This was followed by 'the business and Jean Smith wel- comed the home economist, Miss Tillman. Mrs D. Hemingway then gave us a demonstration on how,to make shoe packs. Mrs. J. 'Wheeler gave the notes. A delicitlus lunch was enjoyed and club work discussed. ARE THE FACTS The larger county towns will be eligible for a government liquor store and brewers' retail store — WITHOUT A FURTHER VOTE. The Canadian Legion in Seaforth could apply for a private club license — ALSO WITHOUT A VOTE. NO PUBLIC LICENSES Beverage rooms, cocktail bars or any other public licenses could not be issued in Seaforth unless they are approved by three-fifth of the electors in a second vote under the Liquor Licence Act.
