Mr. MacLean, 'who was Produce
Operator of a Sarnia Dominion
Store, was born in Wingham. He is
the son of Mr, and Mrs. Donald
MacLean. TTe attended Public
School in Wingham and High School
in Clinton where the family then
lived. He is a sportsman who has
been -active in basketball, baseball,
He has ipTayed in Clinton and Men-
ford Bugle Bands and lin BannOck-
burn Pipe Band. His hobbies are
Pshing and coin collecting..

The Nally Vacation Bible Senool
came to an end on Friday, night with
a programme and achievement night
in the United Church. The school
had been held for 9 days with the
programme and 'display of the child-
ren's work on thel9th day,
During nine days of classes the
total attendance was exactly 1200
children.
At the program on Friday night
the boys and girls gave of their best, •
There was a large _attendance of
Parents and interested _friends.
The school was diyided . Into
groups — the pre-school, the prim-
ary and juniors and yoarg people.
Each group rendered some of the
• songs and choruses learned in the
school. The program opened with
the singing of the welcome chorus
and theme song 'by all the children.
This was followbd by the scripture
lessen. read by Catherine Leach with
the Rev'. J. H. Greene leading in
prayer, Little Dianne Tornhull ren•
dered a song in which she gave the
parents a welcome. This, was
followed by piano solos by _Doluights
Elliott and Joyce Proctor and duet
by Anne Cardiff and Dianne EirkbY-
Miss Lima's' cla,ss gave a 'recital of
the memory Work as did also Mrs
Thompson's class. A solo "Jesus Bids `
Us Shine" was given by Ruth Wilbee
while Mrs Elliot's glass sang ''God
is Leive". Some of the senior girls
sang 11T am so glad that our Father
in Heaven." The program was
brought, to a happy.. conciusion. by
the singing of -their special pieces
