man, died at this home here Sunday
night, March 8th, following an
atess totabout two months. lie was 55
years! old.
He was born in St. Clements,
Wellesley Township, son of John
BallantYne Steiss and Louise
Zimmer Steiss and motved with his
;parents to a farm on concession 14
'Grey Township, when ho was three
months old.
Soon after this marriage, he. moved to
a farm on concession 10, Grey Town-
shit$ where he (lived until about 15
years ago, when he retired to Brus-
Sels. His wife, the former Clara
Askin, died in 1927.
Mr. Steiss, who is the last of a
family of eight made Ms-home with
hiS only daughter, Mrs. George
(Elsie) Evans, who is his. only
survivor.
The remains rested at the D. A
,Kann funeral home, Brussels, where
Rey. J. II. Greene -of Melville
Presbyterian Church conducted the
service at 2 p. m. on Wednesday,
March 11th.
Temporary entombment was made
in the mausoleum in Mt. Pleasant
Cemetery, Ethel.
Pallbearer's were Elmer McQuarrie,
Francis Duncan. Alex Stelae, Gordon
Stiles, Frank Little and John,
Schnook,
Flowers were carried by Stuart
• Steiss and ',Garry Evans.
