AMBROSE LADIES' MEETING The newly elected president, Mrs. Gordon Blake, consisipted the meeting when the ladies of St. Ambrose , Church Altar Society, gathered on Feb. 19th, at the home of Miss Sara McKinnon, (The meeting opened with prayer tled by Mrs. Cooper. The minItes of the previous meeting were, read and, approved and Mrs. Connelly gave the financial irepont, Members paid their annual fee in g'eelponse to the roll call. Forget-me. knots drew the name of a sister for the coming year. Mrs, Lawrence Ryan and Mrs, George Blake Jr., Agreed to act as Eductional committee for another year. Following the husiness session an inspiring program, ,prepared by the president, was enjoyed. In keeping with the sperit of Brotherhood week Mrs. Lawrence Ryan read a poem entitled "How Can. I Hate My Neighbour". Mrs. :Gaynor stick a lighter vein with a few humorous .select ions, Mrs. Gordon. Blake gave some timely reminder of a religions nature. Mrs. Lawrence Ryan was the lucky winner iti a draw for an. apron. Mrs. Fischer, a recent bride, was the recipient of a gift from each. Member and also won the 'door prize.
