Kennedy, School Board mem- ber, spoke of the urgent need of a new school here and said that the council supported the new telephone exchange, had mentioned new street lighting, renovated municipal build- ing, waterworks pump etc., but no mention had been made of a new school and that they Could not ex- pect indastry to locate here with run down educational facilities. J. H. Stretton accepted the school board nomination and said the old school is a fire hazard; we can't ex- pect industry to locate here unless there is an ap-to-dalte Jsichool, that is one of the first things < they en- quire about. Rev. L. Bolger took charge of the 'devotional part., Scripture reading Deuteronomy 7th chapter, verses 6 to 12, was taken by Mrs. H. Bolger. Roll call and minutes were read and approved. The topic was very ably given by Mrs. Martin Business was discussed. A hymn was sung and the meeting closed with all repeating tthe Lords Prayer.
