COUNTY OF HURON
FEDERATION NEWS
Some time ago the Government
announced a set of Stabilization
prices. Tiles?, halve received approval
in some (martens and serious
opposition in others. Your Fed-
eration of Agriculture feels that
this is an important subject and
,vitally concerned in learning the
opinion of producers of the differ-
ent commodities,
If a stabilization price is too low
it is of no benefit to the producer.
If it iis too high we run into sur
'plus'es that have to be disposed of
in some manner . The problem is
to discover what is right. There
are thaSe who OW it is unecessary
and harmful to production.
The latter part of August meet-
ings will be held for members of
the Federation jointly with rep-
resentathrys okf the Commodity
groups to arrive at a definite
policy that can be supported 'by the
Ontario Federation of Agriculture,
You, the producer, know better
than anyone else the effects of
support prices on your income. We
hope you 'will consider this problem
as it affects you and let your
representative know your solution.
It is only in this wlay that your
OrganUation can beet serve you.
